Border Cheque is a group of academics, activists and journalists committed to exposing the function of different border regimes around the globe. Our long-form articles unmask the institutions that fund and maintain borders whilst highlighting the human cost of border militarisation. Drawing across research from different regions, we aim to foster a wider conversation about how and why borders have become such a powerful geopolitical tool in the contemporary world.
